What are we trying to solve?
The Indian government spends ~323 billion USD (approximately 56% of total budget) on development projects every year. The UN estimates that India must spend 10% of its GDP to achieve the SDG target. The Indian government currently spends close to 85% of this recommendation and yet ranks 99th in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Hence, it is unsurprising that the inefficiency of the public service delivery system in India leads to “leaks” in the capital and slows developmental progress.
